Customer brought to us these beautiful Loake shoes to be restored. Our craftsman Luke did a fantastic job, he resoled, redyed and refinished the shoes, adding Lulu plates.
Lulu plates are imported from the UK and are arch-shaped pieces of metal which prevent the leather toes from wearing out, it is a popular option for men’s shoes.

Vibram resole leather boots
We replaced the soles on these worn leather boots with Vibram white colour matched rubber soles. The old soles were stripped, the surface was prepped before the custom cut new rubber soles were applied.

Shoe Sole Replacement | FAQS
We recommend our clients to feel the sole for “sponginess”. Apply pressure to the soles with your fingers, if the soles feel moist or give way easily it may be time for replacement. Any holes in the leather may be another sign that your soles are ready for a change. We also highly recommend sole protection to our customers as a long-term solution for preserving and protecting your leather soles.
Depending on the amount of wear and tear, it is possible that your shoes don’t need full replacement soles. This is because the main areas of wear are always concentrated at the heels and toes and the mid-sole often remains intact. Many of our clients actually choose to have half rubber or leather soles installed instead of a full sole replacements as it is a more cost-effective solution.

Yes we resole Goodyear welted shoes. Goodyear welted shoes have a strip of leather (the welt) applied around the shoe where the outsole meets the upper.
Yes we stock JR (Jon Rendenbach) soles that our craftsmen use for our leather resoling service. Crafted with traditional oak-bark ground-tanning process, JR soles are made to be long lasting.
