We recently had the pleasure of restoring this stunning red Hermès bag—a true statement piece showcasing the iconic craftsmanship Hermès is renowned for.
While this vibrant bag had been well cared for, signs of wear were visible on parts of the leather, particularly the handles and closure strap.
The handles needed fresh wax due to slight separation in the leather, and the closure strap showed wear from friction with the hardware—a common issue over time.

Today, we take a look behind the scenes at our workshop, showcasing the work done by Jenny and Gideon in restoring a vintage Hermes Satchel. This beautiful vintage Hermes bag came to us with mould, leather discolouration, and the strap was missing. It was in need of a complete restoration.
Jenny cleaned and performed a colour refinishing, matching the original black tone of the bag. Gideon waxed and resealed the raw edges and recrafted a new strap with clips and loops.
