Our Saphir Medialle D’Or products are our craftsmens choice in shoe care, which we offer to our Melbourne CBD based clients. Our Saphir collection includes the Super Invulner Waterproofer and Suede Renovateur sprays available to purchase exclusively from our Royal Arcade workshop. We’re proud to offer these quality products to assist with the upkeep of your high value shoes and leather goods as well as to complement our repair services.

Saphir Renovateur

All-purpose cleaner and conditioner for smooth leathers. The mink-oil based formula provides shoes with essential nutrients and oils to maintain the suppleness of the leather. The cream is is neutral and can be used for complete maintenance or routine upkeep. The Renovateur nourishes, moisturises and cleans smooth leathers.

How to Apply – Add a small amount of the cream to a chamois cloth and massage into the leather with circular motions. Repeat as required to cover all areas. Leave leather for 3 – 5 minutes to absorb the nutrient-rich cream. Shine with horse hair brush

Saphir Pate De Luxe

A hard wax for achieving high gloss finishes on smooth leathers. The wax is composed of beeswax, turpentine and carnauba combined with six other nutrient waxes. The high concentration of waxes yields an unparelled shine on leather. For mirror finishes please see Saphir Mirror Gloss.

How to apply – Add a small amount of the wax to a chamois cloth and apply to the leather. Repeat as required. Leave the wax to dry for 3-5 minutes. Shine with a horse hair brush

Saphir Super Invulner

A universal water protection spray that prevents liquid and stains from setting into the leather. The neutral spray is specially formulated to not to stain or discolour. Silicon-free and made with all-natural ingredient. Saphir Super Invulner is safe to use on all smooth, suede, nubuck and exotic leathers.

How to Apply – Use outdoors or in a well ventilated area to prevent inhalation of fumes. Spray Super Invulner from a distance of 30cm onto the surface of your shoes or leather goods. Only spray enough to evenly cover the surface without drowning the leather. Leave items for 30 minutes and test with drops of water – beads should form if waterproofed correctly. Re-apply evenly as needed.

Saphir Pommadier Cream Polish

A natural cream with high pigment concentration for polishing smooth leather. The formula is based on beeswax, turpentine and shea butter with six other nutrient waxes. The cream is an outstanding product for nourishing, protecting and refinishing leathers.

How to Apply – Add a small amount of the cream (less is more) to a chamois cloth and massage into the leather with circular motions. Repeat as required to cover all areas. Leave leather for 3 – 5 minutes to absorb the colour-rich cream. Allow the pommadier cream to dry before buffing the leather with a horsehair brush to achieve a shine.

Saphir Mirror Gloss

Mirror gloss contains a higher concentration of waxes than the pate de luxe, which assists in effortlessly producing mirror finish to the leather. The formulation is based on a mixture of montan, carnauba, and beeswax and is balanced with natural turpentine solvent.

How to apply – Add a small amount of the wax to a chamois cloth and apply a thin coat to the leather. Leave the wax to dry for several minutes. Apply a single drop of water to the leather and buff using a circular motion. Apply successive thin coats and re-buff to build up a wax finish.

Saphir Suede & Nubuck Renovateur

A spray that noruishes and recolours suede leather. The formula contains almond-oils that condition and maintain the natural appearance of the leather. The light pigment resaturates the colour and restores the finish of suede leathers.

How to Apply – Use outdoors or in a well ventilated area to prevent inhalation of fumes. The renovateur spray is best used after cleaning with the appropriate suede products. Apply evenly to the surface without drowning the leather. Re-apply as required until the finish of the suede is restored.

Saphir Leather Lotion

Saphir’s Leather Lotion is a beeswax-based cream polish enriched with nutrients and mink oils. The leather lotion is simply a less concentrated form of the Renovateur. The leather lotion cleans, nourishes, protects and yields a matte shine for all leather goods. While the Saphir renovateur is more suited towards shoes, the leather lotion is excellent for jackets and other large leather goods.

How to Apply – Add the cream to a chamois cloth and massage into the leather with circular motions. Repeat as required to cover all areas. Leave leather for 3 – 5 minutes to absorb the nutrient-rich cream.

Saphir Chamois Cloth

A Saphir branded chamois cloth made from soft cotton. The cloth is used for general buffing and achieving a high gloss shine on smooth leather.

While excellent for general shoe and leather upkeep, Saphir products should not be used as a substitute for professional restoration. Important Notice:

Your use of the Evans website and services constitutes your agreement with the terms and conditions outlined below, with any other terms and conditions stated herein, and with any applicable laws. These terms are subject to change without prior notice

Repairs:

All efforts will be made to ensure that repair and restoration jobs are completed to a high standard. Evans employs only highly skilled leather craftsmen and items entrusted to our workshop are handled with the highest care. The repair processes recommended for any item are selected to suit the nature of the leather or material, the structure and condition of the item.

Evans cannot assume responsibility for the inherent weakness of, or defects in the leather or materials that are not readily apparent prior to processing. This includes dyeing jobs where the finish will be highly dependent on the quality and condition of the leather.

Evans will not be held responsible for any of the following processes:

  • Leathers, particuarly suedes, that becomes “stiff” or “malty” after dyeing
  • Severely stained handles or those affected by grease
  • Severe leather stains that are unable to be completely removed
  • Severe leather stains where cleaning results in discouloration of the leather

While we strive to restore items to their original state, it is not always possible to return items to factory condition. Our goal is therefore to restore items to the best condition possible. In addition, some materials and hardware are proprietary of certain brands and there are regulations against using these materials for our repairs. In such cases materials and hardware will be substituted with suitable replacements of similar quality and aesthetics.

Pricing:

The prices listed on the Evans website are to be used as a guide only. We make every attempt to be consistent with our pricing and to provide transperent information regarding our repair processes. Due to the diversity of leather goods and variety of possible services available, prices are always subject to change and we are under no obligation to match the prices listed on our website. If an item is misquoted, we reserve the right to modify the price, and in our sole discretion, to refuse or cancel any order placed for that item at the incorrect price.

Shipping:

If you decide to send us an order via post or courier, ensure that your items are packed securely. We cannot assume any responsibility for damage that occurs during transit and any transport services are to be used at your own risk. Please check with your shipping provider for more information regarding insurance policies and guarantees.

Returns:

It is highly recommended that customers inspect items carefully upon completion of their order. Please notify Evans customer support within 24 hours of any complaints, concerns or queries regarding the item. All repairs left with Evans, unless otherwise specified, are subject to a workmanship guarantee for a period of three months following completion of the order.

Our workmanship guarantee is subject to the following conditions.

  • The issue corresponds to the original job description
  • The initial job has not been tampered with
  • The issue has not arisen as a result of another acccident or mishap

All returned items are put through a number of inspection checks. If the returned item satisfies our criteria, it will be processed as a new order and finished according to the original job description. Failure to meet any of the above criteria may result in the workmanship guarantee being declared void and being removed from that particular item.

Email Communications:

After placing an order with Evans, there is a possibility that we will send you communications regarding our services and products. By using our services, you agree to receive such communications from us. We will give you opportunity to opt out of receiving these promotional emails by following the opt out instructions provided in such messages. We also use emails for non-commercial purposes. These emails provide important information such as repair details, copies of receipts and order status updates.

SMS Communications:

We utilise SMS for non-commercial purposes. You will only receive an SMS from Evans in regards to order details and order status updates.

User Communications:

Any message you send to Evans via email, postcard, letter, voice mail or other transmission relating to your use of this site shall be and remain the property of Evans, and Evans shall not be limited in any way in its use, promotional, commercial or otherwise. Evans will not use your full name in any such promotional use without your permission. You agree that no such messages will violate the rights of any third party or contain any libelous or otherwise unlawful materials. We save certain messages and emails on file for promotional and marketing purposes, but we are not required to and do not retain every such message.
